ONA Bits – User Manual and Safety Instruction

1. Product Purpose

These nail bits are designed for professional use by manicure and pedicure technicians, including processing of natural and artificial nail materials.

Not intended for medical or dental use

2. Technical Specifications

Instrument type: carbide nail bits.

Shank diameter: 2.35 mm

Working part material: tungsten carbide

Marking by Coarseness (Color Ring)

The coarseness of the drill bit is identified by a colored ring on the shank:

 Yellow ring – Extra fine

 Red ring – Fine

 Blue ring – Medium

 Purple ring – Medium

 Green ring – Coarse

 Black ring – Extra coarse

The color marking is intended to assist professionals in selecting the appropriate nail bit for the procedure.

3. Maximum Rotational Speed

Do not exceed the maximum permissible rotational speed.

Exceeding the recommended speed may cause overheating, damage to the drill bit or personal injury.

Recommended Maximum Speed by Coarseness

Color ringCoarsenessMaximum speed (RPM)
YellowExtra fineup to 35,000 RPM
RedFineup to 35,000 RPM
BlueMediumup to 35,000 RPM
PurpleMedium–coarseup to 35,000 RPM
GreenCoarseup to 25,000 RPM
BlackExtra coarseup to 20,000 RPM

Larger working diameters generally require lower rotational speeds.

Not all electric nail drills are designed to operate safely at maximum indicated speeds.

The actual operating speed must be selected by the professional user based on the drill bit

diameter, coarseness, material being processed, applied technique and the specifications of the electric nail drill.

4. Safety Precautions

WARNING

Improper use may result in injury, overheating or damage to the nail drill bit.

  • For professional nail technicians only
  • Ensure the shank is fully inserted and securely fixed.
  • Do not use damaged, deformed or worn products.
  • Stop use immediately if loosening or abnormal vibration occurs.
  • Insert and pull out the bit only after rotation has completely stopped.
  • Avoid contact with the working part during operation.
  • Always use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

5. Preparation for Use

•    Inspect the bit for defects before each use.

•    Install the bit according to the handpiece instructions.

•    Bring the device to the selected working speed before touching the nail.

•    Do not apply excessive pressure (maximum contact pressure < 2 N).

•    Use a light, pen-like grip.

•    Work with smooth, controlled movements.

•    Stop use immediately if abnormal vibration, excessive heat or reduced cutting efficiency occur.

6. Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization

6.1 General

•                Products are supplied non-sterile.

•                Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization are mandatory after each use.

•                Proper reprocessing is essential to ensure safe professional use.
